Clowning Around

Cole is our little engineer.  When things are in some kind of order, like these dinos, he is usually the one coordinating the effort.

Reid does not enjoy eating but if his buddy, Pap Pap, is eating something, he usually tries it :)

Daddy and Me Night at Preschool and Reid's Love of Dinos

On Wed. March 13, 2013, Gwen and Cole took Daddy to Daddy Night at Preschool.  They were very excited to show Daddy all of the fun projects that they had made for him.  As you can see, Reid did not want to be left out of the fun.

Off to Daddy and Me Night
This is the first picture I have of Reid with a dino.  To me it seems like he has loved dinos his whole life but maybe his love of dinos started on this day.  He sure does look happy to be snuggling that TRex.  Just a few months later he was able to identify "Steggy" "Triceratops" and "Trex".

Spring Rain Walks

A little rain does not stop us from enjoying the outdoors.  As I tell everyone, my kids have energy and none of us can handle being inside all day long so on rainy days once the rain slows down, we head outside to search for worms and splash in puddles.

 Our worm bounty
Reid got the job of holding the worms.
All ready to dig the worms a new house in the empty lot next door.
Looks like she had fun!

Reid's Cute Little Voice

Being the youngest, Reid picks up on everything that his big brother and big sister are saying/doing.  He has consistently hit milestones well before Gwen and Cole.  Starting around 12 months we noticed that Reid was playing with toys the correct way (ie driving a car around on a pretend road complete with sound effects).  He also enjoys playing games, mainly Kitty, with Gwen and Cole.  He and Cole are the cats and Gwen is the Mommy who takes care of them.  The video above is my attempt at recording his cute little voice at 18 months.

March 2013 Fun

Dressing up is a daily activity at our house!

Princess Cole joins in the fun.
 Puzzle Break!
Reid loves boy toys but does play baby with Gwen every once in awhile.

Three crazy kids in a tub! (Note that after a few months of trying to bathe three kids in one small tub, we started a new system.  Gwen and Reid still bathe together but Cole takes a shower.  As of right now we have fewer tub overflow incidents with this new routine which makes for a happier Mommy and Daddy.)

New Years Eve 2013

I'm sitting here on New Years Eve reflecting on the wonderful year I have had with my family.  Today I took Gwen and Cole to see their first official movie in the theater.  I tried to take them a few years ago and we only lasted for the first preview before leaving the theater in tears (Yes, I was practically teary at that point too since I was very pregnant and just trying to do something fun with my kids!).  This afternoon I decided to try again and take G & C to see Frozen.  They were excited and asked all kinds of questions on the drive over to the theater.  We enjoyed some special time together complete with lots of snuggles, hand-holding, popcorn and only a few tears.  The cutest part was that Cole kept asking questions about how the main character froze things and he always chose to ask during parts of the movie when there was silence in the theater "Mama, what happened?  How did she make her ice?".  After the movie we had a crazy energetic dinner at home complete with a little bouncing (see pics below) and then our family sat at the table with our cheese and cracker platter (a Stamps tradition!) and talked about all of the fun activities that we shared in 2013.  Andy and I kept cracking up at the little things that Gwen and Cole mentioned including getting the flu mist.  As I was sitting there trying to enjoy the special moments with my family, I couldn't help but feel a little twinge of guilt that I hadn't worked harder to continue my blog during 2013.  So here I sit on New Years Eve ready to get to work on it....Back to March 2013...
